Student Eligibility

►To attend SLC a student must:

(1)  Live in one of the four participating school districts in Angelina County.    (Central, Diboll, Hudson, or Zavalla).

(2)  Be currently enrolled with a high school campus within these districts and found to be at risk of non-completion.

(3)  Be granted a referral from the district in which you attend (usually the campus administration/counseling staff).

 

**Adult learners over the age of 21 are considered for completion with the permission of the home school district. This scenario is reserved for individuals who are within 2-3 credits of completion and have met all state testing requirements for graduation. A case-by-case determination is made when offering enrollment for over-aged individuals.**

 

►The following must be submitted to the Stubblefield Principal before a student interview:

(1)  A referral from the home school Counselor, Principal, or Superintendent
(2)  A current high school transcript
(3)  STAAR – EOC scores
(4)  An up-to-date immunization record
(5)  A completed SLC application
(6)  Birth Certificate (copy acceptable)
(7)  Social Security card (copy acceptable)
(8)  Current school ID or state ID, and Driver's license (of parent/guardian)
(9)  Proof of residency (2 items) 

 

►When the student meets the basic criterion, the Stubblefield Principal conducts a comprehensive interview with the student and the parent(s) to determine eligibility. 

 

No student can automatically be placed or assigned to the Stubblefield campus.
